There are various platforms available some of them are free of cost and for some you have to pay some money for it. Blogger is the most popular and free platform to create a blog which gives free hosting with free domain(subdomain). Blogger doesn’t give you a free domain, instead it gives you a subdomain just like this –
YourSubdomain.blogspot.com
If you don’t want .blogspot.com suffix to your website then you can buy a domain from godaddy.com or any other domain provider. A domain name is a address of your webpage. It’s just like your identity. The more attractive it will be, the more beneficial to you. Your domain name can enhance the productivity, publicity and much more. So an attractive domain name is very important.
To find out which domain name is best suitable for your blog or business is little bit complicated. At the first, right down all the keywords which best describes your website, your identity. Many people face this problem while selecting the platform for blogging because all these facilities have their own specialization. In wordpress you will get the useful plugins which helps you a lot more, while in blogger there is option for plugins. WordPress is made with php programming language while blogger is made with xml.
In wordpress you don’t need any coding knowledge, blogger also don’t need to have coding knowledge, but if you know front end coding language you can customize the elements of your website as you want to be.
If you are a beginner, I recommend to use blogger because it’s very simple to use.
How to create a blog in Blogger
Actually creating a blogging website is very easy whether it may be a blogger or a wordpress. In this post I’m going to tell about blogger.com
- Open your Chrome browser, type blogger.com in the search bar.
- Sign up by using your gmail account.
- Then you will see the option to create a new blog. Type the Name of your blog.
- Then enter the URL. In this step, you have to add the prefix to the URL like this – example.blogspot.com You cannot remove the blogspot.com and if you want to remove it then you have to buy a domain. It is recommended to create a blogging website with the top level domain.
- Now your blog is ready to publish.
- Now select the post option from the left side, Select create a new post and start writing article.
- You can create multiple blogging sites by using these same steps.
